Ipswich to conduct Class 4 meetings during flood remediation work at Capalaba Following the abandonment of Capalaba due to flooding, Racing Queensland Limited (RQL), with the support of the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club, will conduct Class 4 race meetings at Ipswich during the flood remediation work at Capalaba. It is anticipated that greyhound racing will not return to Capalaba until Saturday, March 4, 2012 due to the significant damage caused by the most recent flood. RQL will schedule Class 4 meetings at Ipswich to carry prizemoney of $500 per race on the following Saturday afternoons: February 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2012. Nominations for next Saturday, February 4 will close at 8:30am Thursday, February 2 with RQL. Nominations for the following meetings on February 11, 18 and 25 will close at 8:30am on the prior Tuesday. Due to the Vince Curry qualifying heats scheduled for this Saturday night, the non-TAB meeting on February 4 will start at 12:00pm (noon). Nominations for these meetings will be graded as required over all distances. Please note scratchings for these non-TAB meetings will be with the Ipswich club on 07 3202 2977. ATTENTION TRAINERS: CHANGE OF TRIAL DAY'S - For one month trial As of 5th December 2011 trialling will be Monday mornings (Non-Members Prices) commencing at 7.00am, Wednesday night (Members Prices) commencing at 4.30pm and Thursday mornings (Members Prices) commencing at 6.30am. Bookings taken for Monday from 9.00am Friday. Bookings taken for Wednesday and Thursday from 9.00am Monday.

BIG DOG SERIES Due to lack of support for this Series (34 pups paid up in twelve months) the Committee has no option but to cancel the Big Dog Series and refund all monies paid up. The Committee feels that they can't stage this race because it would be using member's money to do so.Thanking the licensees for their support in trying to stage this series and we will look into doing something similar in the future.
